Publication in Computers in Biology and Medicine

The CAVA team is pleased to announce that an article detailing the novel computing aspects of our Healthy Volunteer Trial has just been accepted for publication in Computers in Biology and Medicine. This article describes the computer algorithms developed by the CAVA team for detecting short periods of nystagmus buried within days' worth of normal eye movement data.

This algorithm was sucessfully applied to the data captured during the Healthy Volunteer Trial and produced some exceptional results. The paper also describes a further algorithm for detecting and quantifying nystagmus induced by caloric testing, which has demonstrated the capability of the CAVA system to identify a range of dizziness signals.
