At UEA, we welcome students, staff and the wider community to music making for all abilities.
Whether you are an experienced musician or want to try playing or singing with others for the first time, you can find opportunities here. A lot of our activity is social, fun and offers the chance to leave work stress behind. Some of it is ambitious and professionally led, exploring extraordinary music that repays our commitment with a chance to touch the greatest of art. Light-hearted or demanding, all our music making is welcoming and friendly.
Societies
UEA Music Society is wholly student run and audition-free. Ensembles include Choir, Big Band, Concert Band and others. Showchoir, Music Production Society, and the Drama and Musical Theatre Society offer yet more opportunities.
Ensembles
UEA Choir, Chamber Choir, Community Choir and Symphony Orchestra are our professionally led Music Centre ensembles. Our partner ensemble, City of Norwich Bass Band, also welcomes UEA members.
