Founded in 1969, the University of Texas at Dallas has evolved into one of the top research institutions in Texas. Sustainability at UTD
UT Dallas is home to a number of unique sustainability initiatives, some of these include:
On campus community garden and micro-farm: Located at the universities Eco Hub, these spaces, managed by volunteering students, provide produce which is donated to the food pantry (The Comet Cupboard).
On-campus beehives: Students can harvest locally produced honey and get involved with bee keeping.
Sustainability Honours: This recognises graduating students who went above and beyond to engage with sustainable initiatives during their time at UTD.
