Bennington College is a liberal arts college located in Bennington, Vermont. As a smaller college, Bennington boasts a student to faculty ratio of 8:1 and an average class size of 13 students. 94 per cent of students live on campus in 21 student houses. Each dorm hosts a weekly "Coffee Hour" on Sunday evenings where students discuss campus and house issues together.
Bennington holds a distinguished place among US colleges and universities. It was the first to include the visual and performing arts in a liberal arts education. Rooted in an abiding faith in the talent, imagination and responsibility of the individual, Bennington invites students to pursue and shape their own intellectual enquiries.

Sustainability at Bennington
In 2022, Bennington College was recognised for their achievement in Sustainability by the Association for Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE), ranked number three in energy on their 2022 Sustainable Campus Index.
From saving water to replacing their lightbulbs, Bennington are working on the little things to make the needed changes with their students being at the forefront. One key example is The Bennington Seed Library, which was founded by a group of students who were interested in saving seeds from vegetables and herbs, which is now a public resource for their community.
