Palacky University is over 500 years old and often referred to at the Czech Oxford. It has a long, rich history with a great reputation for its teaching and research. The campus is located in a historic part of Olomouc known for its beautiful architecture. Each year it welcomes students for all around the world and the small city turns into a multicultural hub. As you might expect, there are plenty of clubs and societies to get involved with and meet local and international students.
Olomouc is a true student city - a quarter of the population studies at the university! This means the city has the highest density of university students in Central Europe. The city is packed with UNESCO Heritage sites, Baroque architecture and castles giving it the appearance of a fairy tale city. Its location makes it a great place to explore more of Czechia and Europe on the weekends, with many locations accessible by rail.
