UEA Outreach are very proud to hold the Young Carer Friendly Tick Award, awarded by a panel of young people from the Norfolk Young Carers Forum (NYCF). We strongly encourage Young Carers and Young Adult Carers to participate in Outreach activities and events.
Through our IncludingMe Outreach programme, we can arrange individual and group webinars and virtual workshops to find out about opportunities available in Higher Education. Our face-to-face activities have been limited during 2020 and 2021, but we hope to offer visits to explore our lovely campus again soon, including at our free residential summer schools.
Get in touch
To discuss the programme or book activities, contact Liz Ferguson, Widening Participation Officer at includingme@uea.ac.uk.
Students are welcome to contact Liz with questions about any aspect of Higher Education via UniBuddy or request a one-to-one video chat via Microsoft Teams.

What can I expect at an Outreach event at UEA?
Whether you’re visiting UEA as part of a large group, or for an individual trip, we want to work with you to ensure your experience is helpful, informative, confidence-building and enjoyable. We can address specific concerns you might have about progressing to university, and answer your questions about finance, applications, student accommodation, and more! Our friendly Student Ambassadors can give you plenty of insight into the realities of student life, and tell you what it’s like to study your favourite subject at university.
Financial support
UEA offers various bursaries and scholarships to provide financial support to eligible students. Full criteria and more information on bursaries and scholarships can be found in our finance section.
Supporting carers and professionals
We are keen to work with young people, support workers, charity staff, local authority staff, teachers, advisers and other stakeholders, and can participate in professional development conferences, workshops and training days.
