Norwich City and UEA Team Scholar testimonials
Millie Daviss - PhD in Education (Social Science Research)
Being able to play at the highest level in Norfolk has allowed me to progress with my footballing ability, leaderships skills and my overall development. In addition, being part of the scholarship programme at UEA allowed me to gain an edge, through access to elite athlete workshops such as nutrition, mindfulness and social media support. There is a clear benefit around being exposed to elite environments on a daily basis, and this is what I was able to get through performing at both NCFC and UEAWFC.
Highlight at NCFC - Being part of the squad playing at our first ever Carrow Road game in front of 7,500 fans!
Highlight at UEA - scoring the winner to get promoted in 2021/22 season to BUCS Tier 1
Ceri Flye - BSc in Physical Education, Sport and Health
My highlight for Norwich was playing at Carrow Road for the first time in front of 7,585 fans and inspiring the next generation of footballers. Was a surreal experience and one I'll never forget. I have also loved representing UEA, with a particular highlight being scoring against Kent University in my first season at UEA. The benefits of combining playing for both clubs has been more contact time with different coaches, access to larger range of facilities, learning different styles of play and formations, improved match fitness and technical ability and gaining experience against a range of opponents.
