UEA+Sport Team Scholarship

If you are an aspiring student athlete playing basketball, football, rugby or netball - either prospectively or currently studying at UEA - we want to support you in your journey to achieve your highest potential both academically and on the sporting field.

All students in the first team for basketball (men’s and women’s), football (men’s and women’s), rugby (men's and women's) and netball will receive a Developing Excellence level scholarship that provides a bespoke package of support tailored to each team's needs.

uea+sport work closely with each team and their coaching staff to ensure they continue to develop in a positive and supportive environment.

First teams will be chosen during the selection period at the start of term, around September/October.

Application Process

We offer students places on first team squads after individuals have trialled at the beginning of the academic year. Team scholarships will be offered after trials.

If you play basketball, football, netball or rugby and would like to find out more about team scholarships before joining UEA, please email our Performance Sport Manager at performance.sport@uea.ac.uk
