UEA Music Centre puts on a varied programme of paid to attend and free events each academic year. These usually consist of three paid to attend UEA Choir and Symphony Orchestra concerts (generally in November, December and March), two free, ticketed, UEA Chamber Choir concerts (generally in December and March) and several free, non-ticketed, performances and events. Tickets for paid to attend concerts are available to purchase online (subject to availability) until 10am on the day of the concert.
There are three more concerts planned for the 2024-25 paid to attend, UEA Choir and Symphony Orchestra concert season:
UEA Choirs Christmas Carol concert - Wednesday 11 December 2024, 7.30pm - The Cathedral of St John the Baptist, Unthank Road, Norwich, NR2 2PA. UEA Choir, Community Choir, and members of Chamber Choir, will perform 'Ode on the Nativity' by Charles Hubert Hastings Parry, as well as a host of well-loved Christmas carols for the audience to join in. Tickets for this concert have now sold out. Please email musicevents@uea.ac.uk if you would like to be added to the waiting list.
The Dream of Gerontius - Saturday 1 March 2025, 5pm - Saffron Hall, Audley End Road, Saffron Walden, CB11 4UH. Cambridge Philharmonic Chorus and Orchestra will join forces with UEA Choir for a performance of Edward Elgar 'The Dream of Gerontius'. Tickets £15-£30. Available from the Saffron Hall Box Office.
Ad Astra - Thursday 20 March 2025, 7pm - The Church of St Peter Mancroft, Hay Hill, Norwich, NR2 1QX. UEA Symphony Orchestra will perform: Johann Strauss II Waltz Op. 314 ‘The Blue Danube’; Gustav Holst 'Mars, Saturn, and Jupiter' from 'The Planets Op. 32'; and John Williams 'Star Wars Suite'. We are no longer able to accept telephone and in person sales ahead of the event.
A limited number of tickets may be available to purchase on the door 45 minutes before the concert start time (please check individual event listing for ticket availability). Please note we can only take card or cheque on the door.
Please note that tickets for the Tragedy to Triumph concert on Thursday 21 November have now sold out. There will not be any tickets available to purchase on the door.

UEA Chamber Choir Spring concert - Sunday 9 March 2025, 6.30pm - St George's Church, Princes Street, Tombland, Norwich, NR3 1AE. UEA Chamber Choir will perform secular choral music through the ages. Tickets FREE. Available from the UEA online store.
Free to Attend - Non-Ticketed Events
For free events that are not ticketed, it is not necessary to pre-book.
