The British Archive for Contemporary Writing is an incredible collection of archives based at UEA.
The BACW was established in 2015 with the generous support of the Foyle Foundation. It includes material from world-renowned writers such as Doris Lessing, Lee Child and JD Salinger, and prize-winning and acclaimed contemporary writers such as Naomi Alderman, Adam Foulds, Charlie Higson and Tash Aw - among many others. With funding from the Mellon Foundation, we developed a community led collection of poetry archives Towards a Centre for Contemporary Poetry in the Archive, with poets in residence: Jay Bernard, Anthony Vahni Capildeo, Gail McConnell and Joelle Taylor and Visiting Poetry Fellow, Will Harris.
