December 2024 - April 2025: MathTASK PD Sessions from Secondary and Primary School Teachers of Mathematics
A serries of PD sessions are organised by Secondary School Mathematics Advisors (Dimitris Kalykakis, Eirini Perisinaki and Ioannis Kanellos (retired)) and Primary School Advisors (Maria Kadianaki and Nikos Karatasos) with the support of Elena Nardi and Irene Biza (on behalf of UEA's MathTASK team) for Primary and Secondary teachers of mathematics on the transition between educational levels: "Mathematical Routes on the transition from Primary to Secondary Education". Attendees have the chance to reflect on their teaching experiences, to identify issues and opportunities in the transition from Y6 to Y7 and to design, implement and evaluate classroom activities with their students. MathTASK resources were used across the course.

Irene Biza and Elena Nardi offered a MathTASK workshop at the summer school of the Master's course in mathematics education of the Mathematics Department of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. The summer school took place in Chalkida, Greece.
10 July 2024, MathTASK Workshop at the ICME15 conference, Sydney, Australia
Irene Biza, Elena Nardi and Owen Hooper organised a MathTASK workshop at the ICME15 conference on Wednesday 10 July. The session was attended by mathematics teachers, teacher educators and mathematics education researchers with interest in teachers’ pedagogical and mathematical discourses. The workshop activities revolved around a recently completed suite of workshops where primary and secondary teachers worked together on how to navigate the challenges of the transition from primary to secondary mathematics.
17-19 May 2024: MathTASK discussion group
The MathTASK professional development course for Primary and Secondary teachers of mathematics on the transition between educational levels: "Mathematical Routes on the transition from Primary to Secondary Education" was the focus of a discussion group organised at the Greek Association for Research in Mathematics Education (GARME10) conference, May 17-19, 2024. The event was organised by Irene Biza and Elena Nardi together with the school advisors: Dimitris Kalykakis, Maria Kadianaki, Ioannis Kanellos, Nikos Karatasos and Eirini Perisinaki. The event was attended by researchers, teacher educators and Ministry of Education officers in charge of mathematics teacher professional development.
November 2023 - April 2024: MathTASK PD Course for Primary and Secondary Teachers of Mathematics, Crete, Greece
Secondary School Mathematics Advisors (Dimitris Kalykakis, Eirini Perisinaki and Ioannis Kanellos (retired)) and Primary School Advisors (Maria Kadianaki and Nikos Karatasos) with the support of Elena Nardi and Irene Biza (on behalf of UEA's MathTASK team) offered a 50 hour professional development course for Primary and Secondary teachers of mathematics on the transition between educational levels: "Mathematical Routes on the transition from Primary to Secondary Education". Attendees had the chance to reflect on their teaching experiences, to identify issues and opportunities in the transition from Y6 to Y7 and to design, implement and evaluate classroom activities with their students. MathTASK resources were used across the course.
9 November 2023: MathTASK Workshop for Primary School Teachers of Mathematics
Elena Nardi and Irene Biza offered a two-hour workshop for Year 6 Primary School teachers in a day event on problem-solving and mathematics teaching organised by Primary School Advisors (Maria Kadianaki and Nikos Karatasos) at the Heraklion, Crete, Greece.
16 and 17 May 2023: MathTASK workshop for Teachers of Mathematics
Irene Biza (on behalf of UEA's MathTASK team), Dimitris Kalykakis (current Secondary School Mathematics Advisor) and Ioannis Kanellos (UEA academic associate and retired Secondary School Mathematics Advisor) offered a two-day (10 hour) MathTASK professional development workshop for primary and secondary school teachers of mathematics in Crete, Greece. The workshop focused on the role of digital (and analogue) resources in problem solving as a springboard in students' transition from primary to secondary mathematics.
6 March 2023: MathTASK session
Irene Biza led a session for the Technology-Enhanced Mathematical Sciences Education (TEMSE) group at the Maxwell Institute. The focus was on the use of MathTASK activities for the introduction of university mathematics students to mathematics education research.
7 February 2023: CAPTeaM workshop
Elena Nardi was invited to host a workshop for prospective mathematics teachers at the initial teacher education programme. The workshop was held at the University of Oxford, UK.
4 July 2022: MathTASK workshop
Irene Biza and Elena Nardi offered a MathTASK workshop to mathematics teachers. The workshop was held at the Mathematics Education Research Group of Australasia (MERGA44) conference in Launceston, Tasmania.
27 June 2022: CAPTeaM workshop
Drawing on findings from cultural studies in (mathematics) education, neuroscience and disability studies (particularly the CAPTeaM, Challenging Ableist Perspectives on the Teaching of Mathematics, project) Elena Nardi explored 'What is Mathematical Ability?'. The interactive event was for the local community of teachers, teacher educators and parents at the city of Burnie in Tasmania.
5 June 2022: MathTASK conference presentation
Crete-based mathematics teacher Chrysa Papastathi presented findings from the evaluation of her first classroom intervention based on MathTASK activities. The paper was co-authored with Ioannis Kanellos and Elena Nardi, Evi Papadaki and Irene Biza. It was presented at GARME9.
4 June 2022: MathTASK discussion group

A MathTASK workshop was offered by Irene Biza at an event for mathematics leads organised by Angles (Norfolk and Suffolk) Maths Hub. The workshop took place on the UEA campus.

Irene Biza offered a MathTASK workshop for higher education mathematics lecturers at the University of Crete. The workshop was organised in the context of the professional development course on 'Training of Trainers (TotC)'.

Workshop organised at the 14th International Congress on Mathematics Education (ICME14). This workshop was held online and in Shanghai, China.
14-15 June 2021: Challenging Topics workshops
Two sessions of the 'Challenging Topics' working group ran by Angles (Norfolk & Suffolk) Maths Hub. MathTASK activities produced by the team were utilised in the sessions which were delivered by Sam Philips (Assistant Maths Hub Lead - Secondary Mathematics).
25 February 2021: MathTASK seminar and workshop
Elena Nardi offered a seminar and workshop at the Institute of Education (IOE-UCL), London, UK. The session focus was on the use of MathTASK resources for the introduction of undergraduate students (BA Education and BSc Mathematics) to mathematics education research.
