Chi-Hé's main research interests are in how meanings are expressed and understood in different contexts of utterance and the discourse factors that allow interlocutors to understand one another. Her most recent work has focused on the study of misunderstandings as crucial for understanding communicative processes.

Eleni's main research lies in the areas of pragmatics, discourse analysis, and their various interfaces. She is particularly interested in nonliteral language in discourse, especially verbal irony, parody/satire, and humour.

Ibi's main research interests are are in how meaning is negotiated and achieved in social interactions. She is particularly interested in interpersonal dynamics, including the occurrence, avoidance, and resolution of interpersonal conflict.
