A recent poll suggests that 72% of Americans believe the US used to be a good example of democracy but has not been for the past few years. In this event, a group of experts on the US come together to discuss the recent election, the political and historical context, the result, and what it all means for the state of American democracy today and in the future.
The panel features Prof Rebecca J Fraser (gender), Prof Toby James (election process), Dr Suzanne Doyle (policy) and Dr Emma Long (political context), and is hosted by UEA grad and podcast presenter, Liam Heffernan (America: A History podcast).
