Course Information
Tier 3 educational supervisor training is available to medically qualified health care professionals and to those that supervise trainee advanced practitioners or aspire to supervise. This two-week online course focuses on 5 key areas including:
- Educational Theory and Training activities
- Assessing performance and competence of trainees and providing effective feedback
- Developing learning environments taking into account learner needs and safety
- Introduction to Learning Styles
- Peer to Peer Support and Learning, observation and evaluation of education
Course Duration: A two-week online course requiring the equivalent of one day training/study leave. Delegates must be enrolled on the virtual learning environment 1 week prior to the course start date. Details on how to enrol will be sent in the booking confirmation email and followed up with regular reminders prior to the enrolment deadline.
Course Structure
Live webinar length: Two Live webinars both 2 hours.
Reflective Assignment: Delegates are required to submit their reflective assignment on the final day of the two week course. Delegates are then notified 10 working days after the course finishes that certificates are ready to download.
Survey: Delegates will be asked to complete an evaluation at the end of the course, this is mandatory to obtain their certificate of attendance.
Certificates: Electronic certificates are issued to those who join/complete all elements of the course and submit the reflective assignment and course evaluation survey.
Course Delivery
Two live webinars, pre-recorded sessions, and discussion boards with facilitator interaction. Delegates will be required to submit a reflective assignment at the end of the course. Delegates will also be required to complete all elements of the course.
