WHAT IS A MSc BY RESEARCH?
An MSc by Research in Engineering is a specialised research degree (1 year of research and up to 1 year to write your thesis). During this program, you’ll immerse yourself in a dynamic community of researchers, exploring cutting-edge engineering topics and deepening your expertise in a subject you’re truly passionate about.
WHAT ENGINEERING TOPICS CAN I RESEARCH?
Our research interests span a wide range of topics, including:
Electrical Machines and Power Electronics
Energy Storage and Conversion
Graphene and Advanced Materials
High-Resolution Drop-on-Demand Printing Technology
Intelligent Energy Buildings
Multiscale Fluid Mechanics and Heat Transfer
Optical Fibre Sensors and Biosensors
Optimisation-Driven Design and Computational Mechanics
Solar Energy and Photovoltaics
Have a different idea? Reach out to one of our academic staff (see the research group list below). We welcome your input and can collaborate to design a project aligned with your interests.
HOW TO APPLY?
You can either:
