At UEA we support you with careers and employability from day one to ensure you're equipped for success from the moment you arrive. The best part? That support doesn't end when you graduate.
As a UEA graduate, you'll continue to have access to our full range of careers services for up to three years after you finish your course. And once that three years is over, the connection doesn't have to end. The careers experience of all our graduates are invaluable to our current students, with plenty of opportunities for our alumni to get involved and share their insights.
Careers support after graduation
Post-graduation, UEA alumni can access careers support via GradCentral (login required), our dedicated careers portal for up to three years. Discover hundreds of job opportunities, including exclusive internships, through the UEA Internship Programme.
You can also access a suite of online help resources, from quick start guides on subjects like applying for jobs and transitioning into the workplace, to specific support for graduates with a disability, budding entrepreneurs and international graduates wanting to work in the UK or return to their home country.
You can also book an appointment through GradCentral with a professional adviser and access the extensive programme of UEA careers events.
Sharing your expertise
Alumni mentors and speakers at our careers events play an important role in inspiring and supporting the career ambitions of our current students and apprentices. Whether you've got years of experience or have just started out on your career journey, the lessons you've learned, sector insights you have and retrospective advice you can offer are invaluable.
Become a mentor
The UEA Mentoring Programme connects students with external professionals, entrepreneurs and alumni for one-off conversations, or longer mentoring relationships. By sharing your own career experiences and answering our students' questions, you can support them with making decisions about their future and planning their next steps after graduation. Join us at an event
CareerCentral works with schools across UEA to deliver events for students to explore diverse career paths, find out about working in different sectors and roles and learn from the experiences of others. You could take part in an alumni panel, or represent your organisation on a stand at one of our careers fairs. Find out more about our events or reach out to career.central@uea.ac.uk and play a part in inspiring our students and shaping their future careers.
Graduate Outcomes Survey
We love to hear what our graduates have been up to since leaving UEA, and we're not the only ones. Your early career experiences can help future students choose where they would like to study. The Graduate Outcomes Survey is a national survey, run by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA). The survey is sent to all graduates to share their perspectives about their career path, since leaving higher education. Graduates are contacted by HESA 15 months after graduation and invited to take the survey. It only takes 10 minutes to complete and you can find out more about the survey and how your responses will be used on the Graduate Outcomes website.
