NR 4ward: supporting spinout success
This page contains useful resources for staff and researchers who want their research to have a real-world impact through establishing new businesses arising from research (known as “spinouts”). Setting up an academic spinout with the support of your employer is a great way to launch new products, services and innovations.
The resources on this website section are for staff (including academics, clinicians, technicians and support staff) and researchers at the University of East Anglia (UEA) and our partners on Norwich Research Park: Anglia Innovation Partnership, Earlham Institute, John Innes Centre, Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, The Sainsbury Laboratory and the Quadram Institute. These resources are a legacy of the NR 4ward pilot – which ran from November 2024 to May 2025. Funded by Research England, NR 4ward was a pilot to help us to build on our track record for developing successful spinouts across Norwich Research Park.
