UEA Live is a literary festival based at the University of East Anglia, the campus where some of the greatest writers of today have worked and studied.

Spring 2025 Lineup
UEA Live returns this spring with a feast of literary events, kicking off in February with UEA alum Emma Healey returning to campus to celebrate the publication of her latest novel Sweat. Later that month an exciting collaboration with Norfolk Screen will see Oscar-nominated screenwriter and celebrated author Nick Hornby visiting UEA to share insights into his career, passions, inspirations, and the challenges and successes of his work.
In March, legendary broadcaster Simon Mayo will be discussing his new thriller Black Tag and Natasha Brown - named one of Granta's Best of Young British Novelists in 2023 - comes to campus soon after following the publication of her new novel Universality. Author and food writer Kate Young rounds off the season to talk about her beloved first novel, Experienced - a queer romcom set in Bristol.

School Events
UEA Live will once again welcome schools to campus for an inspiring literature event. During the day, students will have the chance to hear from a celebrated children's author and participate in a creative writing workshop with UEA academics and PhD students. These are an amazing opportunity for students to learn how to embrace their creativity and have fun with reading and writing.
The Secondary event will take place on Tuesday 1 April, 9.30am - 2.30pm. Open to Years 8 and 9
The Primary event will take place on Tuesday 17 June with two slots available: 9.30 - midday or midday - 2.30. Open to Years 5 and 6.
