Our research in statistics focuses on building a solid foundation in computational and theoretical aspects of statistics. We actively seek to enhance our understanding by examining how these elements interact with various disciplines, such as medicine, economics, or finance. This fosters interdisciplinary collaboration and innovative applications of statistical methods.
We are a team composed of theoretical statisticians, computational statisticians, medical statisticians, and econometricians. We focus on current challenges in statistics, where there is a tendency toward more complex models in higher dimensions with more parameters. We develop complex-structured models, inferential procedures, and computational tools for high-dimensional data in biostatistical, environmental, and econometrical applications.
