Undergraduate Mathematics Degrees

An entry route for students with non-traditional backgrounds or those without high enough A-Level grades to start on one of our other degrees. After passing the additional “Foundation Year” at the start, students then follow the same content as in the standard BSc Mathematics degree below, or have the option of transferring to one of our other Maths or Actuarial Science degree courses.

Our standard 3-year degree course, covering a range of pure maths, applied maths and statistics. In years 2 and 3, you can choose from a range of optional modules to tailor the degree to your interests.

The same taught content as the BSc Mathematics degree, but with a year out on a placement working for a company or organisation between years 2 and 3. This will give you valuable experience in a real-world working environment.

A joint honours degree, combining core content from our mathematics degree with modules focussing on statistics and data analysis. You undertake a research project in your 3rd year, and will have options to customise the degree to suit your interests.

The same taught content as the BSc Mathematics and Statistics degree, but with a year out on a placement working for a company or organisation between years 2 and 3. This will give you valuable experience in a real-world working environment.

Our prestigious 4-year integrated masters degree. Students follow the same material as in the BSc degree for the first 3 years, and then complete a 4th year of more advanced maths modules, which includes an individually supervised research project.

The same taught content as the standard MMath degree, but with a year out on a placement working for a company or organisation between years 2 and 3. This will give you valuable experience in a real-world working environment.

In years 1, 2 and 4 students study at UEA and follow the same content as the standard MMath degree. Year 3 is spent abroad, studying mathematics at one of our partner universities in Europe, North America, or Australia.

Our accredited 3-year actuarial science degree will provide you with an excellent grounding in actuarial science, data science and risk management. This will prepare you for becoming a financial professional or an actuary, or for work in related areas such as data science, or risk management.

The same taught content as the BSc Actuarial Science degree, but with a year out on a placement working for a company or organisation between years 2 and 3. This will give you valuable experience of applying your knowledge in the workplace.

In years 1, 2 and 4, you will follow the same content as in the 3-year actuarial science degree. In year 3, you will spend the year abroad at one of our partner universities, taking modules to expand your skills in one of more areas such as mathematics, computing, economics, and business.
