If you’re a student going through Clearing, it might feel initially that you have to rush into a decision, however, the system is set up to give you enough time to decide what is right for you. Associate Pro- Vice-Chancellor for Admissions and Recruitment, Prof Charles Seger, offers some advice:
“Be clear when your offers expire and ask if you can get extensions, most universities will be quite helpful and allow you extra time.
“Then ask yourself what you want from your university experience. Is the course going to be one you’re interested in? Can you imagine yourself living on the campus, or the area, and having the social life you want there?
“Ask what sort of support is available throughout your degree, ask about mental health or disability support. If you are concerned about cost-of-living, ask about bursary support and campus-based employment. At UEA we have excellent student support services and we will be happy to answer any questions whilst you decide.”
You can also research our campus, Norwich and our accommodation to help you learn more about life at UEA before you call and familiarise yourself with our Clearing FAQs, where there is more information about accommodation, entry requirements, fees and funding.
We also run Clearing campus tours – with the first of these on Friday (16 August), the day after A-level results day – so you can come and get a feel for everything UEA has to offer.

Please be aware that UEA Clearing closes Monday 21 October, with the last day to apply being Thursday 17 October.
