Launch of an Ambitious New Fundraising Campaign: 'Dare to Do Different'
Our new £100 million fundraising campaign, ‘Dare to Do Different,’ was launched in October at UEA Court. Building on the success of the ‘Difference Campaign’, this new initiative continues UEA’s proud tradition of philanthropic support for key projects and research, focusing on four key areas: Climate, Health, Creative, and Campus.
The initiative was introduced by Dame Jenny Abramsky GBE (ENG65), UEA’s Chancellor and Campaign Chair, who reflected on her time at UEA and expressed her pride in spearheading this bold campaign. UEA Vice-Chancellor Prof David Maguire and David Ellis (NBS09), Director of Development, Alumni and Campaigns, also presented updates on the University's strategy and how 'Dare to Do Different' will support projects that advance education, research, and student success.
As part of UEA’s Vision 2030, this new campaign will address some of the world’s most pressing issues, from tackling climate change to advancing health innovations. Over the coming years, philanthropic support will enable groundbreaking research, student scholarships, new capital projects on campus, and support for our student community.
We are proud to share that the campaign has already secured £20 million, setting us firmly on the path toward our £100 million target. UEA has always dared to be different, and with this campaign, we continue to embrace that bold mission.
