Laura McGillivray MBE served as Chief Executive of Norwich City Council for 14 years, taking it from underperforming to winning most improved council and council of the year. Most notably, the council won the RIBA sterling prize for architecture for its energy-saving Passivhaus council house scheme, the first ever council housing to win the award.
Laura served on UEA Council for 15 years, latterly as Chair during the pandemic, and is also on the Board of the Sainsbury Centre and Norwich Theatre. She was awarded an MBE for services to local government in the Queen’s birthday honours in 2020.
