Our specially trained team of student support professionals are on hand to support you from the minute you're here. See how we can help you make the most of their studies at UEA.
UEA is committed to inclusive study so everyone can get involved in student life. We'll work with you before you arrive at UEA to assess your needs and give you with the support you need to succeed.
We also have Disability Liaison Officers (DLOs) in each faculty so you'll always have someone you can contact. DLOs are specially trained academics who know your department and can connect you to the wider university support service.
A safe place
Norwich is one of the safest student cities in the UK with a low crime rate. The university, however, takes your safety very seriously. We adopt a zero tolerance approach to any kind of:
- Aggressive, threatening or intimidating behaviour
- Sexual harassment
- Hate crimes or hate speech
How we protect you
We have dedicated security officers on campus 24/7. Specially trained security staff are always present at UEA club nights to help you enjoy safe night out.
We also work closely with UEA SU and campaign actively to improve safety on and off campus.
UEA has its own health centre on campus to help you take care of your wellbeing while you’re at uni. Staffed by healthcare professionals, they’re on hand to give you advice on how to make the best choices for you.
