Financing your master's study doesn't have to be overwhelming. At UEA, we want you to have access to inspirational, world-class education, whatever your circumstances.
There are lots of funding options to help you pay your tuition fees and support yourself through your studies. It’s best to start considering your options as soon as you can, so you can have funding in place before you begin your course.
You can fund your studies through scholarships, loans, grants, or possibly support from your employer. We're here to guide you in making informed financial decisions and supporting your postgraduate journey.
What costs should I consider?
You’ll need to consider the following costs when planning for your postgraduate degree:
-
Tuition fees: These vary by institution and course. Check out our fee structure for more details.
-
Accommodation: Research the cost of university rooms or private rentals around Norwich. International students are guaranteed accommodation on campus, and there are a wide range of postgraduate accommodation options available to you. If you are local to campus and considering staying at home, it is important to calculate your potential commuting costs.
-
Living expenses: Calculate expenses for food, bills, social activities, and travel. Norwich is known for its affordability for students, so it’s a great place to live and study!
-
Study materials: Budget for books, technology, printing, and other materials you’ll need for your course.
-
For International students: You'll need to show you have enough money to support yourself. UKVI require proof of funds of at least £1,023 per month, in addition to tuition fees, for you to cover living expenses outside London. You must also pay the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS). By paying this, you can use the National Health Service (NHS) as if you were a resident of the UK. You will still need to pay for other services, such as prescription medication, eye tests and dental treatment.
