We are a Green Flag-accredited campus with a highly qualified and dedicated Grounds Team who take pride in managing this diverse environment.
The UEA campus encompasses 360 acres of accessible land, including wildlife trails that go through fens, meadows and woodland.
The grounds are used for study and research by various Schools within the University, and our Grounds team work closely with these Schools, as well as other agencies and a dedicated Student Volunteer force.
We are always looking to improve how we maintain and invest in the maintenance of our natural environment and the conservation work which has been carried out.
The UEA landscape consists of fen march, meadow, woodland and a mesotrophic lake while the River Yare runs through the grounds. The grounds are also home to rare fauna and flora, including otters, deer, hare, Great Crested Grebe, orchids and 500 year old Sessile Oaks.
