“We are committed to adopting robust, transparent and accountable processes for equality, and to embedding diversity and inclusion in our culture, decision making and partnerships. We work with all our students, staff and visitors to ensure Equality and Diversity are at the core of our operations and to promote a respectful and vibrant community for all.”
-Professor Beatriz de la Iglesia, Head of Computing Sciences
The School of Computing is proud to be working to create a progressive and inclusive culture. In recognition of our work in this area the School was awarded Bronze Athena SWAN status in 2015, renewed in 2019 and again 2024. We strive to make a difference to everyone working in and with the School.
Our Equality and Diversity Committee, under the leadership of Dr. Laure Daviaud, meets regularly to analyse and reflect on cultural practices that affect equality at all levels within the School.
