Committed to equality, Diversity and Inclusion
We are fully committed to providing a fair and equal environment for work and study. We are preparing to participate in the Athena Swan Charter Mark, and we will also be submitting an application for an Athena Swan Bronze Award in 2021.
The Pro-Vice Chancellor in Arts & Humanities is a proactive member of the University's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee and feedback from students and staff is increasingly sought on a range of issues as the Faculty has highly diverse populations and works hard to ensure a supportive and inclusive environment in which all can flourish.
We have a range of policies to facilitate a supportive working environment:
Student Services
Our Student Support provides students and staff with support for a wide range of academic and health issues.
Childcare
We have an on-site nursery available to staff and students.
We have a family room in the basement of the Elizabeth Fry Building which is fitted out for nursing mothers. To access this room contact the Hub in the Elizabeth Fry Building on 01603 597578.
Careers
We offer support for undergraduate career development. Contact Dr Georgia Walker Churchman - Employability Director
